The MaxxAir ETS Mattress Replacement System, designed for use with the BariMaxx II Therapy System, helps maintain skin integrity and enhances safe patient handling with Low Air Loss Therapy, Continuous Lateral Rotational Therapy, GORE® Medical Fabric and a Turn Assist feature.

The MaxxAir ETS Mattress Replacement System offers features and benefits designed to help treat and prevent skin breakdown and reduce patient and caregiver risks associated with bariatric care, including:
  • Continuous Lateral Rotation (CLRT) therapy offloads pressure by constantly changing pressure points 
  • Low Air Loss Therapy provides airflow to help maintain skin temperature control and manage moisture
  • GORE® Medical Fabric offers excellent moisture vapor permeability to create an optimum skin microclimate while serving as an effective barrier to fluid and bacteria
  • Full-body Turn Assist up to 30° helps facilitate patient care by automatically repositioning and turning patients
  • Mattress expandability from 36” to 42” to 48” allows customization of width for patient comfort and safety while maintaining dignity and ease of patient transfers
  • Rapid, convenient CPR deflation
  • Easy-to-use controls at the foot of the bed for simplified nursing care
  • 1,000 lb. weight capacity accommodates high patient weight in both static and turning positions
 
Product Usage

Indications
  • Prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers
  • Patients who are difficult to turn
  • Patients using a static mattress that would benefit from a pressure redistribution surface
  • Patients whose body weight and size pose a significant risk or care management issue to the patient or staff during the performance of routine nursing care
  • Patients weighing up to 1,000 lbs. (including accessories)
 
Contraindications
  • Unstable cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar fracture
  • Cervical and skeletal traction
  • Patients with total weight in excess of 1,000 lbs. (including accessories)
